Seen in HD 22 – Olympics, Sleeping Beauty review and more

After the flu canceled last week’s show, Seen in HD is back for episode 22. We start things off with a quick discussion on Windows Phone 7 and its potential as a HD video player since it has a lot of similarities to the Zune HD. Seen in HD Episode 10 – What is HD?

What makes something HD? Is anything at least 1280×720 HD? If it fills a 16:9 screen, is it HD? Certainly Adam and Phil don’t think so, and this week they undertake the daunting topic of what makes something HD, including a bried look at the new Web streaming offering from Epix. We’d love to hear what you think in the comments as well.
Other news includes possible Wii 2 specs that include Blu-ray, and Apple reportedly working with networks to offer a subscription-based TV plan via iTunes.

Fill Your Media Browser Podcast Plugin

The new Media Browser (2.1) has added a lot of great features.  You can read about them over at Hack7MC in an article just published today.  One of the new additions I’ve been playing with since Friday’s release has been the Podcast plugin.  It’s easy to use and allows you to watch your favorite online RSS content right inside Media Center.  (Just a note that audio podcasts work as well but you get a black screen during playback.)

We’ve talked before about how hard it can be to get online content into Media Center.  Now, if you’re a Media Center fan and want to keep up on the latest news, there’s a new app from Andrew Cherry that will help you keep up.
