These rumors have already been discussed but it looks like it’s more than just content geeks and enthusiasts doing the talking.
Bob Iger, CEO of Walt Disney, stated recently at a technology conference held by Fortune Magazine:
"We have ample evidence both in traditional media and in new media that people are willing to pay for quality, they’re willing to pay for choice, they’re willing to pay for convenience," Iger said.
"It’s possible that Hulu will look at monetizing as well. It may be not just selling ads," he said

Thanks to Media Center MVP Richard Miller we get news that Hulu is negotiating to open up it’s doors to UK viewers starting this September. The Telegraph is reporting that the service could launch with over 3,000 hours of US content and have ITV and Channel 4 as content partners.

It seems that people are starting to enjoy watching content online. Video Business has published the latest Nielson report which shows that online viewing jumped 58% per user in the last year. Turns out that online viewers consumed an average of three hours of online content in April compared to two hours and 10 minutes a year ago.

If you live in the Great White North, sites like Hulu and US networks which provide streaming video are off limits to you. Unless you feel like going through the trouble of running through a proxy server that is. Well now you don’t have to worry about taking those steps anymore.
