It's a great HTPC solution. I've run it for many years now and it has gotten better with each release. It used to be a real bear to install but it's much easier now with the advent of MythTV specific Linux distributions such as Mythbuntu, LinHES and Mythdora. You can literally get the system up in under an hour. The community is great and very supportive and with the money saved you can go get new hardware.
