The Ceton card is great news for subscribers of Cable TV. Unfortunately that leaves me out in the cold. Cable TV is not available to me where I live. I can get OTA and satellite. I am currently a Dish subscriber. I have been using Media Center for almost 6 years now. I still cannot easily get my HD Dish signal into my HTPC. I am forced to only be able to view a SD Dish signal within my 7MC box. This is pretty ridiculous when you consider that nothing has really changed in this regard for 6 years!

Both Dish and Direct TV teased us over a year ago with there beta MC tuners which never were brought to market. I'm happy for all the Cable users out there that will soon have a good solution to recording HD Cable content. I can currently record 4 HD OTA ATSC streams at the same time. This pretty much takes care of my Primetime network recording needs. Dish recording for me is still in SD, even though I receive an HD Dish signal.

Its very frustrating! No real progress on this front in over 6 years! =(
(Yes I know about the HD-PVR)
