Thanks for the review. You can turn your htpc into a software universal remote by using Girder and an IR blaster. That can turn your TV screen into a 1080p touch panel.

So with the addition of something like the USB-UIRT (http://www.usbuirt.com/) and Girder (http://www.girder.nl/), or iRed (http://www.filewell.com/iRed/), this would do exactly what you want?
