As someone who has had 2 ATI DCTs for a year+. Ive danced with the devil that is HDCP encryption. And yes it does matter when it comes to displaying protected recordings using a digital interface (DVI/HDMI). Without it you will see a lovely error message stating HDCP Support Required instead of the recorded content. The only other way around this is to use an analog interface (component/VGA for HD or composite/s-video for SD).

2 Things...

All the copy protection is done inside the Cable card tuners. So when the file hits the PC from the tuner it is already locked down. That why it doesn't really matter about HDCP. Its no different than a HD cable box that offers component output. The content providers are more concerned about the file(That the ATI tuner encrypts) than they are the video display.

I also don't like the way you advertise ShowAnalyzer 1.0 as a finished product. I like ShowAnalyzer but it is far from a finished product and their are still many issues that customers are having. If you don't believe me go here http://www.dragonglobal.biz/forums/showanalyzer....
