Love the show guys keep it,

I love media center but I think you guys are way off on Media Center going main stream. For media center to go main stream at least two things have to happen.

Media Center has to get a killer app. Something that is so awesome, such a great value add that even grandma would want it. That feature also must be exclusive. It does media center no good if it has some awesome feature you can also get on a $5 box from your cable provider.

Using Media Center to view media(Pics/Vids) just isn't that special anymore. Their are way to many $100 boxes that do that.

If I sit 10 people down and show them Media Center's DVR versus any other DVR in the market I would bet 9/10 would pick Media Center. If I then ask asked how many would pay 500+ over your cable provider how many would say they would still want it?

Media Center is still the best DVR on the market but none of its features are game changers to the average joe. Even if it does get some awesome new exclusive feature the price would have to be cheap. Customers have proven that they are content with crappy cable boxes. Also in a world where Rent-A-Center can charge $10 a month for 4 years for a $100 TV most people don't care about long term value..

We care about all of that stuff but we are all HTPC nerds! :-)

Richard, don't apologize for a single thing you've said, its what we're all thinking and all wish for Media Center. Especially those of us who understand (in varying degrees) whats going on under the hood and behind the scenes, know exactly what you're saying.
