If you’re using an standard definition TiVo to watch and record your television, now might be a good time to upgrade.  According to information released by the company: "Beginning today, July 1st, TiVo will begin providing unique offers to dedicated customers that have owned a TiVo DVR for at least one year and are ready to upgrade to an HD DVR.”

The offer is for Series 1 and Series 2 customers.  The longer you’ve been paying your subscription fees, the more of a discount you’ll get.  According to the site the discounts start at $50 and go up from there.

I personally think there are better DVR options out there but if you’re a loyal TiVo user, those payments for your subscription fees will pay off a bit.
